Cytoskeleton's Signal Seeker™ Toolkits, are intended to help scientists discover new signal pathway events involving dynamic post-translational modifications (PTM) such as Ubiquitination, SUMOylation, Phosphorylation, and Acetylation. Cytoskeleton Inc. has recently re-evaluated their Acetyl-Lysine Affinity Beads and Kits, which has resulted in a more robust and versatile set of tools: CS-AAC03-BEADS, CS-AAC02-BEADS, CS-AAC04-BEADS, CS-BK163 Acetyl-Lysine Detection Kit, and CS-BK164 Acetyl-Lysine Detection Kit.

While relatively new to the PTM field, Cytoskeleton has developed many unique PTM tools that will advance PTM research. For example, Cytoskeleton was the first to develop comprehensive PTM Detection kits for non-PTM experts which provides easy entry for investigators that are new to the PTM field. Additional firsts include a simple genomic DNA removal system, unique affinity reagents for the ubiquitin field, and a one-of-a-kind acetyl lysine antibody for immunofluorescence investigation of the acetyelyated mitochondria.

PUREfrex® represents a breakthrough in cell-free protein synthesis technology, offering a precisely engineered in vitro coupled transcription/translation system. Unlike traditional S30 translation extracts, PUREfrex utilizes a completely reconstituted system derived from E. coli translation machinery. By adding DNA or mRNA that encodes the target protein to the reaction solution, proteins can be synthesized easily and quickly without using living cells.

PUREfrex® 2.0 mini (size: 100ul) is a mini size kit available to evaluate if your protein can actually be synthesized with PUREfrex, allowing you the opportunity to troubleshoot and optimize your template with a lower volume. Common primers are included in the kit so you do not need to acquire them separately. The PUREfrex® 2.0 mini comes with a T7Pro-SD primer, necessary for preparing template DNA using PCR and RNase-free water which is used for preparing the reaction solution. T7Pro-SD primer is a common primer to all proteins, including the essential T7 promoter and SD sequence in the 5’ UTR of template DNA and is optimized for PUREfrex®.
